Today, the largest single photovoltaic project in Southeast Asia developed and constructed by our country, the first phase of the 1,000-megawatt photovoltaic project of the China General Nuclear Power Corporation in northern Laos, has been connected to the grid and put into operation. It is understood that the project is Laos' first large-scale mountain photovoltaic project. After the first phase is put into operation, it is expected to generate an average annual electricity output of approximately 1.65 billion kilowatt-hours, equivalent to saving about 500,000 tons of standard coal consumption and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.3 million tons.
