CATL has hired Chen Jinghe, the founder of Zhijin Mining.

On April 7th, an internal source from CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) revealed to reporters that CATL has officially hired the founder and former chairman of Zijin Mining, Chen Jinghe, as a consultant for the company's mining department to help expand its mineral supply chain business. Chen Jinghe, aged 69, officially retired on January 1st this year. In recent years, in order to ensure the supply of upstream key resources and materials needed for battery production, CATL has participated in the investment, construction, and operation of lithium, nickel, cobalt, and phosphate mineral resources through various methods such as self-construction, equity participation, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
