Ackman's investment company, Pershing Square, has proposed to merge with Universal Music Group.

Pershing Square Capital Management has recommended a merger with Universal Music Group, which would result in the latter being listed under an American acquisition company. Bill Ackman's fund company stated that the transaction would value the world's largest music company at a 78% premium to its recent closing price.
