On April 2nd, the Beik Road Bridge in Karaj, Iran was hit by two rounds of airstrikes by the United States and Israel, causing serious damage. This nearly completed bridge is one of the most important transportation routes in the Tehran metropolitan area and a landmark project in Iranian construction engineering. The head of the construction company told the media that the section of the bridge that was targeted was extremely complex, with a height of over 100 meters, and during the construction process they had to consider multiple factors such as earthquakes and extreme weather. Before the attack, only a few meters remained to complete the entire project, but now, years of hard work have been destroyed in an instant. The construction personnel also stated that the targeted section of the bridge was near completion after two and a half years of work by the Iranian engineering team in difficult conditions with limited resources. They considered the bridge as their own child - the airstrikes not only resulted in nearly a hundred casualties, but also destroyed all of their hard work in just a few minutes.
