After 33 days of shutdown due to the war in Iran, Israel's largest natural gas field has resumed production, which could bring some relief to the tight supply market. According to a spokesperson for Newmed Energy LP, a stakeholder in the project, the Leviathan project can now resume supplying the domestic market and exports. The day before, the Israeli Ministry of Energy announced that the project was about to restart. The Leviathan gas field, operated by Chevron in the Eastern Mediterranean, is not only crucial for meeting Israel's local natural gas demand but also important for Egypt.
