Vietnam imposes anti-evasion duties on hot-rolled coil imports from China.

On April 2, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Announcement No. 612/QD-BCT, making a preliminary affirmative anti-evasion ruling on hot-rolled coil originating from China. It preliminary determined that the products involved had undergone minor changes to evade anti-dumping duties, and imposed temporary anti-dumping duties on hot-rolled coils with a width of more than 1880 millimeters and less than or equal to 2300 millimeters, with a tax rate of 27.83%. The Vietnamese tariff numbers for the products involved are 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27.19, 7208.27.99, 7208.36.00, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, etc. The measures will take effect 15 days after the announcement is issued.
