On April 3, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration's official newspaper "China Green Times" quoted experts as saying that the southern part of Mongolia is the largest source of PM10 in Beijing. During the three dust weather processes in 2020, the contribution of the dust source in the Eastern Gobi province of Mongolia to the dust in Beijing reached 65%. According to literature, since 2020, the amount of dust released by the southern region of Mongolia has shown a significant increase in the total amount of dust released in the central part of East Asia, and its impact on Beijing is becoming increasingly apparent.
