Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department jointly held the first annual meeting of the "Quality Safety Management Cooperation Arrangement." The meeting reviewed and summarized the cooperation and exchanges between the mainland and Hong Kong in five areas, including standards measurement and qualification assessment, gas-related special equipment, elevators and hydrogen pressure vessels, mechanical devices, household products, and labeling energy efficiency. They reached a consensus on further deepening cooperation in quality safety management and jointly promoting the "Belt and Road" rules and standards "soft connectivity" and other works. Both sides agreed to continuously deepen cooperation and exchanges in the field of quality safety management, strengthen information exchange and regulatory cooperation in special equipment supervision, product recalls, and promote the smooth trade of high-quality and compliant products. They will use deepening cooperation in the hydrogen energy field as a starting point to support more Hong Kong experts in participating in the formulation of national and international standards, promote green hydrogen certification in the Bay Area pilot project, further deepen the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and support Hong Kong's participation and contribution to the construction of "Belt and Road" rules and standards "soft connectivity."
