Recently, the National Healthcare Security Administration issued a notice on the in-depth implementation of a special campaign to combat illegal activities in the field of healthcare drugs, specifically targeting the continuous sale of healthcare "re-circulated drugs". The notice requires that starting from April 2026, with the investigation of suspicious drug traceability codes as the focus, a national campaign will be carried out to combat illegal activities in the field of healthcare drugs. The special campaign will be divided into two phases, the first phase from April to July 2026, and the second phase from September to November 2026. The National Healthcare Security Administration will issue a batch of duplicate billing suspicion leads based on drug traceability codes in early April and early September 2026. Local healthcare departments will work together with relevant agencies to coordinate the leads provided by the national government, excess prescription filling leads at the local level, reports and complaints from the public, etc., to conduct thorough investigations and crackdowns, precisely targeting the illegal activities such as selling healthcare "re-circulated drugs", swapping healthcare drugs, using fake medical insurance certificates, forging prescriptions, using multiple cards to purchase drugs, and end-of-year excessive consumption, in order to timely recover losses to the healthcare fund.
