U.S. oil opens down more than 1%

On Friday in the Asia-Pacific morning session, WTI crude oil fell by 1.31% to $98.806 per barrel. US stock index futures were mixed, with Dow Jones index futures up 0.01%, S&P 500 index futures down 0.03%, and Nasdaq 100 index futures down 0.07%. Gold prices opened slightly higher, while silver prices opened lower. Spot gold rose by 0.04% to $4759.83 per ounce, while spot silver fell by 0.15% to $74.96 per ounce.
