Starting from April 1st, the forest area of Da Hinggan Ling in Inner Mongolia has entered the fire prevention period.
Starting from April 1st, the Great Xing'an Mountains in Inner Mongolia officially entered a 7-month fire prevention period. Facing the severe situation of rapidly rising temperatures, frequent windy weather, and high fire risk levels, the Great Xing'an Mountains Fire and Rescue Task Force, in conjunction with Inner Mongolia Forestry Group, has deployed early and fully launched the "Seven Defense and Solid Fire Prevention for Safe Northern Xinjiang" special fire prevention operation for the year 2026, aiming to build a solid ecological security barrier in Northern Xinjiang. Currently, with temperatures continuing to rise, the Great Xing'an Mountains forest area is dry, coupled with spring farming and Qingming sacrifice activities, the difficulty of controlling outdoor fire sources has significantly increased. According to monitoring, the flammable material load in the forest area has far exceeded safety standards threshold, once a fire occurs, it is highly likely to form a high-intensity, rapidly spreading crown fire, making firefighting and disposal extremely difficult.
