Samsung raises the price of foldable screen phones due to increased production costs.
According to industry sources on Wednesday, Samsung Electronics has raised the prices of its foldable screen smartphones due to the increase in memory chip prices and recent fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. The retail price of the 512GB version of Galaxy Z Flip 7 has been raised from 1.64 million Korean won to 1.73 million Korean won, and the price of the 512GB version of Galaxy Z Fold 7 has also been raised from 2.53 million Korean won to 2.63 million Korean won. Both of these phones were released in July of last year. The price of the 512GB version of Galaxy S25 Edge, released in May of last year, has been raised from 1.63 million Korean won to 1.74 million Korean won. However, Samsung has maintained the prices of the more affordable 256GB models as well as the recently launched Galaxy S26 series which came out last month.
