Eurozone government bond yields rose slightly in early trading as investors evaluate the prolonged prospects of the Middle East conflict and its potential impact on inflation and growth. Michiel Tukker and Benjamin Schroeder of ING Group stated in a report, "As the risks of a prolonged conflict are still difficult to rule out, market sentiment is currently driving the overall tone." These senior rate strategists suggest that the upcoming Easter long weekend may prompt investors to reduce exposure to higher-risk assets before the holiday. They expect more volatility in the markets as they prepare for the holiday. According to Tradeweb data, the yield on 10-year German government bonds rose 1 basis point to 3.045%, while the yield on 10-year French OATs rose 1.6 basis points to 3.777%.
