Sina Finance news on March 30th, Shanghai Medical Insurance Bureau introduced that in order to ensure the basic medical treatment and reasonable diagnosis and treatment needs of major disease patients in our city, starting from April 1, 2026, the validity period of each major disease registration will be adjusted to 1 year. If it exceeds 1 year and needs to continue medical treatment or change designated medical institutions within one year, the registration or change procedures need to be reprocessed.
