Joint Ministerial Declaration issued by the Parties to the Agreement on Facilitation of Investment, announcing the launch of the implementation of the agreement.
On March 30th, according to Sina Finance, on March 29th, during the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization, 129 parties to the investment facilitation agreement, including China, released a joint ministerial declaration, announcing the start of the agreement's implementation and continuing to promote the inclusion of the agreement in the framework of the World Trade Organization rules. The World Trade Organization's investment facilitation agreement currently has 129 WTO members participating, including 92 developing members, of which 28 are least developed members. It is the world's first multilateral investment agreement, the first agreement with development as its core, and the first investment rules negotiation led by developing members. The agreement aims to improve the global investment business environment, promote global investment flows, and help developing members attract foreign investment and develop their economies. According to the World Trade Organization, the agreement's implementation can increase global foreign direct investment by 9% and increase global GDP by 1% over ten years.
