China ranks 9th in the world in the overall National Innovation Index.

On March 29, the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology Development Strategy released the "National Innovation Index Report 2025" at the Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting. The report constructs an index system from five aspects: innovation resources, knowledge creation, corporate innovation, innovation performance, and innovation governance, and evaluates the innovation capabilities of 60 countries around the world. The results show that China's national innovation index is ranked 9th in the world, steadily progressing towards the goal of becoming a strong science and technology country.
