Germany promotes emission reduction through various measures in its "2026 Climate Protection Plan".
The German federal government recently passed the "2026 Climate Protection Plan," which will allocate an additional 8 billion euros over the next 4 years to expand wind power capacity, increase subsidies for new energy vehicles, and other measures to help achieve the emission reduction targets for 2030. The German Ministry of Environment stated that these measures will lead to an additional reduction of over 25 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions by 2030, as well as reducing consumption of nearly 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas and around 4 billion liters of gasoline. German Environment Minister Svenja Schulze said that this climate protection plan will inject "new energy" into climate action and help reduce Germany's dependence on costly and unstable oil and gas imports.
