Beijing Municipal Administration of Radio and Television releases policies to promote the high-quality development of the animation industry, providing 30 million yuan in supporting funds annually.

On March 28, 2026, the Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference "Forum on Innovation and Development of Ultra HD Audiovisual Technology" was held in Beijing. During the forum, the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau officially released the "Support Measures for Key Projects to Promote the High-Quality Development of the Animation Industry in Beijing". The introduction of this policy marks the formal entry of the Beijing animation industry into a new stage of precise support throughout the entire chain. The "Measures" introduced this time focus on key aspects of industry development and make precise efforts in five major directions. In terms of research and development applications, the policy aims to support the domestic innovation of cutting-edge technologies such as real-time animation production and industry modeling, and promote the deep integration of key technologies such as AIGC and virtual production with creative production. In terms of ecological clusters, efforts will be made to build industrial agglomeration areas with "animation+" as the core, establish technology sharing platforms, strengthen IP copyright services, and integrate production with finance. In terms of IP integration and transformation, efforts will be made to create a two-way path for high-quality content to extend to multiple scenarios and diverse IPs to be transformed into animations. In terms of international communication, support will be provided for the establishment of overseas platforms, copyright outputs, participation in festivals and exhibitions, and cooperation between Chinese and foreign production companies. In terms of cultivating high-quality entities, the focus will be on building "specialized, refined, unique, and innovative" enterprises and creating popular products. This policy will be supported by 30 million yuan in funding, and annual "Declaration Guidelines" will be released based on the actual needs of the industry.
