Saudi Arabia restores 1 million hectares of degraded land.
Saudi Arabia announced on the 27th that, under the "Green Saudi" initiative, the country has successfully restored one million hectares of degraded land and planted over 159 million trees. Saudi Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Abdul-Rahman Al-Fadli, stated that this achievement demonstrates effective collaboration between the Saudi government, private sector, and communities. With the current progress, Saudi Arabia is expected to restore 2.5 million hectares of land by 2030.
