The construction of the national major scientific and technological infrastructure "far-sea floating island" was launched today.

Today, the national key science and technology infrastructure project, the Deep Ocean All-Weather Floating Research Facility project, undertaken by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has started construction in Shanghai. This world-first super large-scale offshore research platform can simultaneously support research needs in fields such as marine equipment, marine resources, and marine science, and is also known as the "distant sea floating island."
