PRIO starts production of the second production well in the Wahoo oil field off the coast of Brazil.
Brazilian independent oil and gas company PRIO has started production of its second production well in the Wahoo oil field off the coast of Brazil, with a stable daily production of 12,000 barrels. The company has announced that more wells are planned to be brought online gradually, with the goal of reaching a daily production of 40,000 barrels by the end of April. The Wahoo oil field is located in the Campos Basin and has recently obtained operational permits from Brazilian environmental regulatory agencies, allowing PRIO to complete final preparation work before production. PRIO plans to drill a total of six wells in the field, including four production wells and two injection wells, with production being transported back to the Valente FPSO floating production storage and offloading vessel through a 30-kilometer subsea pipeline. The Valente FPSO has a processing capacity of 100,000 barrels of crude oil per day. The company has stated that they will provide updates on progress as more wells are brought into production.
