The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees issued a statement on March 27th stating that since the escalation of the conflict between Lebanon and Israel on March 2nd, Lebanon is facing a worsening humanitarian crisis. Currently, over one million people have been forced to flee their homes, accounting for approximately one-fifth of the country's population. The statement points out that initially, the displacement was concentrated in the southern and eastern regions of Lebanon, but has now spread to the capital city of Beirut and the northern regions, with the scale continuing to expand.
