Standard Chartered Bank Africa is expected to become a major player in the global liquefied natural gas boom, with the continent expected to account for approximately 93 million tons per year, or about 20%, of the new global production capacity under construction by 2030. In particular, Sub-Saharan Africa is expected to approve new liquefied natural gas export capacity of approximately 74 million tons per year.
