Wang Huning presided over the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

The 49th meeting of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held in Beijing on the afternoon of the 27th. Wang Huning, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over and delivered a speech. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping. Wang Huning stated that it is necessary to deeply study and implement the important spirits of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches during the national "two sessions", adhere to the organic combination of the Party's leadership, united front, and consultative democracy, promote the Party's innovation theory study, research, and training in a normalized manner, conduct in-depth investigations and studies on major issues related to economic and social development, actively engage in consultations and policy discussions, and work on promoting policies, resolving doubts, adjusting emotions, and resolving conflicts, to gather people's hearts, consensus, wisdom, and strength for a good start in the "14th Five-Year Plan". It is also important to deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on establishing and practicing the correct view of achievements, adhere to the CPPCC serving the people, guide CPPCC members to closely focus on the hot and difficult issues of the people and propose valuable opinions and suggestions. The meeting deliberated and passed the "Key Topics and Supervision Methods for Proposal Selection for the Fourth Meeting of the Fourteenth CPPCC National Committee," and identified 76 key proposal topics. Vice Chairpersons of the CPPCC National Committee, Wang Yong, Zhou Qiang, Shao Hong, and Gao Yunlong, delivered speeches on studying and implementing the important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping. Members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Chairpersons of the CPPCC National Committee, Shi Taifeng, Hu Chunhua, Shen Yueyue, Leung Chun-ying, Baatar, Su Hui, Chen Wu, Xian Hui, Wang Dongfeng, Jiang Xinzhi, He Baoxiang, Wang Guangqian, Zhu Yongxin, and Yang Zhen attended the meeting.
