National Visual Intelligence Standardization Working Group Established in Beijing

The three innovation sub-forums of the 2026 Standardization and Technological Innovation Development Forum have come to a close. This forum featured three specialized sub-forums on smart manufacturing, visual intelligence, and environmental social governance, focusing on the release of multiple standardization achievements and conducting highly professional and targeted discussions and exchanges. They aimed to strengthen the communication platform and gather industry forces to improve the quality and efficiency of standardization work in related fields. The Visual Intelligence sub-forum, with the theme "Standard Drive, Smart Insight into the Future," focused on topics such as the construction of key technological standards, practical applications in cutting-edge fields, and the creation of a collaborative innovation ecosystem, working towards establishing a standardized path from technological innovation to market entry in the field of visual intelligence. During the forum, the National Visual Intelligence Standardization Working Group was officially established, initiated by the Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation and guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The secretariat of this working group will be managed by the Zhongguancun Audiovisual Industry Technology Innovation Alliance and will mainly focus on standardization work in the field of national visual intelligence, such as AVS basic coding, pulse vision, digital retinal imaging, and will prioritize organizing national standard revision work.
