Due to the unclear prospect of a ceasefire in the Iran conflict, the yield on Japan's ultra-long term bonds has surged. The yield on Japan's 20-year government bonds rose by 10 basis points to 3.22%, the yield on 30-year government bonds surged by 15 basis points to 3.67%, and the yield on 40-year government bonds increased by 20 basis points to 3.905%. Earlier that day, the yield on two-year government bonds reached its highest level since 1995.
