According to the announcement from Shanghai, this afternoon, the Shanghai Municipal Government Press Office held a press conference on the action plan for the high-quality development of Shanghai's new urban areas in 2026. Officials from the Development and Reform Commission, Jiading District, Qingpu District, Songjiang District, Fengxian District, and the Lingang New Area Management Committee respectively introduced the action plan for the high-quality development of Shanghai's new urban areas in 2026 and the development action plans for the five new urban areas. It was reported that by 2025, the total industrial output value of six industry segments in the new urban areas exceeded one trillion yuan, all achieving positive growth. Among them, Jiading New Town achieved rapid growth in the medical equipment and high-end equipment industries, Qingpu New Town in the Beidou and low-altitude economy industries, and Nanhui New Town in the entire industrial chain of large aircrafts. This year, efforts will continue to promote the aggregation of resources and maintain a positive development trend. Industrial ecological environment will be continuously improved, and innovation carriers such as the Shanghai Scientific Instrument Innovation Port, the Huawei Yangtze River Delta AI+ Joint Innovation Center, and the national-level civil aviation manufacturing pilot platform will be expedited. The capacity of the industrial parks will be enhanced, and support will be increased in areas such as optimizing management mechanisms, activating inefficient land, and providing policy support. Major projects will be accelerated to completion, including the completion and operation of the United Imaging Production and Research Base, the Chenzhu Instrument Research and Manufacturing Base, and the LASE Fengxian Production Base.
