The General Office of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province have issued the "Action Plan for Promoting the Collaborative Integration of Manufacturing and Service Industries in Guangdong Province by 2026". The plan proposes to accelerate the intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. It aims to build high-level national industrial internet demonstration zones, vigorously cultivate professional, distinctive, and collaborative industrial internet platforms, and drive the digitalization transformation of manufacturing enterprises in segmented industries and key regions. It also aims to speed up the construction of 6 national-level and 14 provincial-level pilot cities for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, establish a center to promote the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, promote the "chain transformation" model, and drive the collaborative transformation of industrial chain and supply chain. It strives to promote over 4,000 large-scale industrial enterprises to carry out digital transformation and 9,000 enterprises to carry out technological upgrades by the end of 2026.
