The "Travel Green Book" is released, during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the integration of culture and tourism in our country will achieve a hierarchical leap.
The Tourism Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences released the "Tourism Green Book: Analysis and Forecast of China's Tourism Development from 2025 to 2026" today. Through one overall report and 20 special reports, the green book provides insights and foresight into the development of China's tourism in 2025-2026. The green book points out that since 2025, the integration of culture and tourism, empowerment of digital intelligence, sports economy, and inbound tourism have become important pillars for unlocking the potential of tourism development. With the intergenerational turnover of tourist groups and changes in consumer psychology, tourism has long surpassed the simple sightseeing mode of "flashing views" and has upgraded to a composite experience that integrates cultural cognition, emotional resonance, and value identification. Looking ahead to the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the demands of tourists for cultural participation, depth of experience, artistic expression, and digital interpretation will further increase. Immersive, emotional, and interactive experiences will become the core competitive strength to attract tourists. Tourist demand led by "experiential sensation" will continue to drive the renewal and iteration of the tourism market, and the integration of culture and tourism will achieve a leap in levels.
