The eighth meeting of the Mainland and Macao Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee was held in Beijing.

On March 25th, Assistant Minister of Commerce Yuan Xiaoming and Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government Dai Jieye co-chaired the eighth meeting of the Mainland and Macao Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee. Yuan Xiaoming stated that 2026 is the year of the beginning of the "15th Five-Year Plan". Macao is currently formulating its "Five-Year Plan". Holding the meeting of the Mainland and Macao Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee at this time is of great significance in supporting Macao's proactive integration with the "15th Five-Year Plan" and deepening economic and trade relations between the two regions. The Ministry of Commerce will further promote the expansion and implementation of CEPA, support Macao's participation in the construction of the "Belt and Road", and assist in the construction of the Macao China-Portugal platform to promote moderate and diversified economic development in Macao.
