According to media reports, after the United States proposed a ceasefire in the Middle East, the UK government bond yield, along with US and eurozone bond yields, fell. The media cited officials as saying that the US has issued a 15-point plan to Iran aimed at ending the war. As a result, market sentiment has improved, easing concerns about the long-term stability of the Gulf region. UK inflation data for February showed an overall inflation rate of 3.0% on a year-on-year basis, with a core inflation rate of 3.2%, in line with the average expectations of economists in the media survey. Tradeweb data shows that the yield on 10-year UK government bonds fell by 8 basis points to 4.855%.
