Hong Kong Competition Commission sues Wai Fai Engineering Group for bid rigging, involving 11 housing estates including Wang Fu Court, totaling nearly HK$700 million.
According to the Hong Kong Competition Commission website's news on March 25, the Hong Kong Competition Commission has lodged a complaint with the Competition Tribunal against a building maintenance project bidding group, involving 6 business entities and 12 individuals. The Commission stated that the group is suspected of engaging in activities that violate the Competition Ordinance during the bidding period for maintenance projects in at least 11 estates and buildings from April 2022 to September 2023. The related projects are located in 8 different districts in Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories, including Tai Po Wang Fuk Estate and Tseung Kwan O Tsui Lam Estate, with a total contract value of nearly HK$700 million.
