On March 22, Deputy Minister of Finance Liaomin met with Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chairman, President and CEO George Scipol in Beijing to discuss issues related to Sino-US economic and trade relations, government procurement, among others. Liaomin stated that the relationship between China and the United States is the most important bilateral relationship in the world today, and the essence of Sino-US economic and trade relations is mutual benefit and win-win cooperation. Chinese companies are encouraged to seize opportunities in the vast Chinese market, increase investment in China, and inject more stability and positive energy into Sino-US economic and trade relations. China will continue to support both domestic and foreign companies to participate in government procurement on an equal basis.
