The number of outstanding contracts for gold and silver also rose, while the number for copper decreased. The trading volume for gold futures was 559,242 lots, an increase of 271,302 lots compared to the previous trading day. The number of outstanding contracts was 407,402 lots, an increase of 8,005 lots. The trading volume for silver futures was 108,164 lots, an increase of 49,271 lots. The number of outstanding contracts was 112,912 lots, an increase of 1,305 lots. The trading volume for copper futures was 110,343 lots, an increase of 37,941 lots. The number of outstanding contracts was 222,257 lots, a decrease of 3,105 lots compared to the previous trading day.
