On the 24th, Cai Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Secretariat, met with a delegation of the Mongolian People's Party led by Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Chairman of the Mongolian People's Party and Speaker of the State Great Hural, in Beijing. Cai Qi stated that in September last year, President Xi Jinping successfully met with President Khurelsukh, reaching deep understanding on strategic issues concerning the overall relations between China and Mongolia, and pointing out the direction for further development of the bilateral relationship. China and Mongolia should jointly implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, use the construction of a China-Mongolia community of shared future as a guide, strengthen exchanges and mutual learning between ruling parties, deepen cooperation in jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative, promote people-to-people exchanges, jointly uphold international fairness and justice, and push the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia to a higher level. Khurelsukh stated that developing friendly relations with China is the top priority of Mongolia's foreign policy. Mongolia adheres to the One China principle and supports President Xi Jinping's major global initiatives. The Mongolian People's Party is willing to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with the Communist Party of China and promote practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
