Qingdao: Promoting the stable growth of the ship and marine equipment industry

Recently, Qingdao City issued the "Qingdao Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Stable Growth Work Plan", proposing the development goals of the city's shipbuilding and marine equipment industry by 2026. Among them, it is proposed to vigorously layout high-end, green ship types, including large bulk carriers and ore carriers powered by new fuels such as LNG, methanol, and ammonia, to promote the green and intelligent upgrade of main ship types; actively develop high-tech ships such as ultra-large oil tankers, container ships with over ten thousand TEU, feeder container ships, unmanned boats, and make forward-looking technological reserves for intelligent ships. Encourage shipbuilding companies to advance the layout of green retrofitting technology and carry out pilot projects for green power retrofitting with methanol, ammonia fuel, etc.
