Three departments: township health centers and community health service centers should be equipped with traditional Chinese medicine professionals in a reasonable manner.
Recently, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine took the lead in issuing the "Basic Norms for the Management of Traditional Chinese Medicine Services in Township Health Centers and Community Health Service Centers", proposing new requirements for the construction of traditional Chinese medicine departments and pharmacies, the allocation and training of traditional Chinese medicine personnel, and the basic content of traditional Chinese medicine services. According to the requirements of the norms, township health centers and community health service centers should reasonably allocate traditional Chinese medicine professional and technical personnel, with traditional Chinese medicine physicians accounting for over 20% of the total number of physicians in the institution; be able to provide at least 10 of the 6 categories of traditional Chinese medicine techniques including Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, scraping therapy, cupping, and massage; have a minimum of 300 types of Chinese herbal medicine decoctions available; be able to carry out national basic public health services traditional Chinese medicine health management services, with traditional Chinese medicine health management for elderly over 65 years old and children aged 0-36 months meeting national requirements. They should also be responsible for providing guidance on grassroots traditional Chinese medicine business in their jurisdiction, promoting at least one medical personnel capable of providing traditional Chinese medicine services in every village health center and community health service station.
