The Macau SAR government has taken upgraded measures, including issuing a Level 1 travel advisory for the following Middle Eastern countries.
Given the continued deterioration of the situation in the Middle East, the Macao SAR government has taken escalation measures, including issuing a Level 1 travel warning for the following Middle Eastern countries: Bahrain, Jordan, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. At the same time, it is advised that Macao residents planning to travel to Iraq, Kuwait, and Yemen or those already in those areas should pay attention to personal safety. Furthermore, the tourism board once again reminds Macao residents not to travel to Iran and Israel, and for those in those areas to enhance security measures and evacuate as soon as possible. Macao residents currently in Middle Eastern countries or regions are advised to strengthen their security precautions, closely monitor the latest announcements from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, and when necessary, contact the local Chinese embassy or the global consular hotline or tourism hotline. Currently, airports in the Middle East as well as transportation systems in Europe are still affected, so Macao residents are advised to remain vigilant about any flight changes and maintain close communication with airlines.
