BlackRock CEO Fink warns: Invest or be left behind by AI.
BlackRock CEO Fink said that with the expected disruptive economic impact of artificial intelligence development, investment is the best hedge that Americans can take. The 73-year-old BlackRock CEO said AI is "the most significant technology since the advent of computers." He also acknowledged that the potential long-term impact of AI on the US labor market is an "extremely important issue". Fink argued in his annual letter to shareholders that it is crucial for ordinary people to hold shares in top companies through investments. "History shows that transformative technologies can create tremendous value, most of which goes to the companies developing and deploying these technologies, as well as the investors who own these companies." he wrote, "If the distribution of ownership does not keep pace with the development of AI, the wealth gap could truly widen."
