Apple is planning to embed advertisements in its map application in order to increase service business revenue. This advertising model will follow Google's Google Maps, allowing businesses and brands to bid for advertising placements based on search keywords. For example, a restaurant could bid on keywords like "sushi," and when users search for related dining categories, the business with the highest bid will appear at the top of the search results. This model is similar to the advertising model used by review platform Yelp.
