Elon Musk has proposed a bold vision: deploying artificial intelligence data centers in space. "Conceptually, it makes a lot of sense to establish data centers in space in the long term," said Karin Fronczke, Managing Director of Private Equity Investments at Fidelity Investments. Fidelity is one of the investors in the privately held company SpaceX. "Of course, the question then becomes as you just mentioned: is it economical? Honestly, as investors, our focus has always been on the 'Starship'." The obstacles remain huge, but SpaceX is preparing to launch the third generation version of the Starship rocket next month, which has a payload capacity of 100 tonnes.
