TSMC's 2-nanometer process capacity is in serious shortage, with orders scheduled to be filled after 2028.
Benefiting from strong demand for AI and high-speed computing, TSMC's 2-nanometer process technology, including the A16 process, is in severe shortage with supply unable to meet demand. Even the largest customer, NVIDIA, does not have enough capacity. In response, TSMC plans to change the design of the next-generation Feynman platform, with Meta also joining in to compete for production capacity. This has resulted in an even longer queue for TSMC's 2-nanometer production capacity, which is now scheduled for after 2028. Additionally, TSMC's advanced process technology will also see price hikes for the next four years.
