A leadership cadre meeting was held in Shenzhen, announcing the central government's decision.

On March 22nd, a leadership meeting of Shenzhen city was held to announce the central governments decision regarding the adjustment of the main leaders of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee. Provincial Party Secretary Huang Kunming attended the meeting and gave a speech, while Provincial Vice Secretary and Governor Meng Fanli presided over the meeting. Provincial Standing Committee Member, Minister of Organization Department, and Guangzhou Municipal Party Secretary Feng Zhonghua read out the central decision. Provincial Standing Committee Member and Shenzhen Municipal Party Secretary Jin Lei, as well as Shenzhen Mayor Qin Weizhong, also attended the meeting. Recently, the central government approved the appointment of Comrade Jin Lei as a member and standing committee member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee and Shenzhen Municipal Party Secretary; and relieved Comrade Meng Fanli of his position as Shenzhen Municipal Party Secretary of Guangdong Province.
