According to the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, from 2018 to 2024, a total of 175 submarine officers and soldiers in the Royal Navy of the United Kingdom tested positive for drugs, including cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy, and steroids. Among them, 52 cases occurred while the individuals were serving on submarines. Some of the personnel involved belong to the crew of nuclear submarines carrying Trident nuclear weapons.
