The International Monetary Fund has lowered its economic growth forecast for Spain in 2026 and 2027. The IMF stated in a declaration on Friday that it expects Spain's GDP growth rate to slow down from 2.8% in 2025 to 2.1% this year, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from its January forecast. For 2027, the organization predicts a growth rate of 1.8% for the Spanish economy, lower by 0.1 percentage points compared to previous forecasts.
