February 2026 National Electric Vehicle Charging Facility Data Situation

The National Energy Administration released the data on national electric vehicle charging facilities in February 2026. According to the data from the national charging facility monitoring service platform, by the end of February 2026, the total number of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in China reached 21.01 million, an increase of 47.8% year-on-year. Among them, there were 4.834 million public charging facilities, an increase of 28.8% year-on-year, with a total rated power of 2.29 billion kilowatts and an average power of about 47.41 kilowatts; there were 16.176 million private charging facilities, an increase of 54.6% year-on-year, with an installed electricity capacity of 1.41 billion kilowatt-hours.
