Beijing releases 122 sub-tasks for future industries.
At the press conference on the future industrial development held in Beijing today, Li Hui, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, introduced that Beijing ranks second in the world in the Future Industry Development Index by 2025. Over the past year, Beijing has launched 21 global initiatives in new technology and products, such as the 6G tactile sensing integrated test device for open innovation, and hydrogen engineering heavy trucks. In order to accelerate the cultivation and growth of future industries, Beijing has formulated and compiled the "Beijing Future Industry 2026 Work Points" focusing on key technological breakthroughs and new product development, implementing 122 detailed tasks in six areas. In terms of future information, the focus is on accelerating technological breakthroughs and industrial implementation in areas such as general artificial intelligence, metaverse, optoelectronics, 6G, and quantum technology. Key points include iteratively upgrading core technologies such as world models and embodied intelligence in general artificial intelligence; breakthroughs in key component research and industrialization for the metaverse; challenges in optoelectronic integration key processes and high-end products for high-performance computing in the optoelectronics field; 6G focusing on key technologies such as baseband chips, building test networks, and testing platforms; and quantum computing adhering to multiple technology routes layout and accelerating the platform construction of quantum-electric integration.
