The Alashan Dingyuan 600,000 kilowatts/2.4 million kilowatt-hours independent new energy storage project has officially completed the energy project filing, the Tumote Right Banner 200,000 kilowatts/1.2 million kilowatt-hour independent energy storage demonstration project has been announced, and the Xilinguole League 2026-2027 autonomous regional independent new energy storage station project has been publicly announced by the implementing company. In February, the Romanian Ministry of Energy announced the allocation of EUR 150 million in special funds to support the construction of independent battery energy storage systems. This plan has been officially approved by the European Commission and will provide direct support of up to EUR 69,000 per megawatt-hour for new energy storage projects, with the goal of adding at least 2174 MWh of battery storage capacity to the country. The related project bidding is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2026.
