GAC invests 3.6 billion in the construction of the first domestic airspace test field, and its flying car successfully takes its maiden flight.
On March 20th, the Southern Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Test and Certification Center, jointly established by GAC Group and China Automotive Research, with a total investment of over 3.6 billion yuan, was officially put into use in Shaoguan. As the first large-scale test field in China to be granted airspace usage rights, the project covers an area of 8600 mu, directly filling the infrastructure gap for integrated testing of low-altitude aircraft and high-end intelligent connected vehicles. GAC has thus established a comprehensive verification base covering complex road conditions, extreme environments, and low-altitude communication links.
