Recently, a cargo plane flying to Stockholm, Sweden completed the sustainable aviation fuel refueling at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, becoming the first international flight in the country to refuel with "bio-jet fuel + duty-paid aviation kerosene" at a domestic airport. Unlike duty-paid aviation kerosene, domestically produced bio-jet fuel belongs to domestic goods, not applicable to the duty-paid aviation kerosene regulatory model. In order to ensure the smooth completion of the pilot mission, Chengdu Customs conducted in-depth research on relevant policies and regulations, promoted the non-duty-paid designation of domestically produced bio-jet fuel, and implemented a regulatory model for separately handling the classification, declaration, and clearance of bio-jet fuel and duty-paid aviation kerosene. In this international flight refueling, domestically produced bio-jet fuel with 100% purity was mixed with duty-paid aviation kerosene in a 20% ratio, totaling 50 tons of fuel. The success of this pilot not only signifies a substantial step forward for Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in green fuel refueling for international flights, but also provides replicable and scalable experiences for other airports nationwide to carry out large-scale applications of bio-jet fuel under customs regulatory models.
